Aptøsrs is the instrumental project of Paul Terry, a Los Angeles based composer, songwriter and producer. Pronounced like “Apatosaurus” the debut album Elders was released on March 29, 2024.

The lead single, "Rust Mountain" is an experience that invites you to just sit back and let the music take you on a journey. What I love about this track is how it tells a story without needing any words—it’s all in the way the sounds ebb and flow, pulling you into different moods and moments. The track opens with a calm but intriguing start, drawing you in and making you curious about where it’s headed. As it progresses, you can feel the shifts in energy, almost like the music is guiding you through different scenes in a movie. It’s the kind of track where you can close your eyes and let your imagination fill in the details.

Another track that really caught my ear is, “Graveyard Syndrome”, it’s got that same storytelling vibe with a slightly darker edge that’s just as engaging.

If you’re into music that feels like it’s telling a story, Elders is definitely worth your time and something you’ll want to revisit whenever you need a moment to just immerse yourself in sound.
